New Hope Pilot Project Pasture 1 & Future Hay Field Progress

Pasture 1- Previously a paved parking lot that was full of nothing but trees, dense brush, weeds and chunks of pavement when we started.         See some progress to the mission of restoring soils, to producing ground that helps feed various protein source’s, that will help feed East Texas communities.

We want to Thank the Anonymous Donors who provided work for the local Ag Communities, Heartfelt Thank You for Donations which covered the expense of  Herbicides, Fertilizer, Pro Cal Liquid Lime and the Contracted Labor like James from Cherokee Warehouse & Ronnie Jones who came to Spray ALL the Fields for the first time.

Thank the Anonymous Donors who provided wage’s for one of our next generation farmers.

Contract Labor for one of our local Young Farmers 16 year old Dawson Lankford, barrowed dads (Thanks Rocky Lankford) tractor and                      15 ft batwing brush buster to top of the dead weeds and  little brush before they went to seed and gave us more weeds, on all viable possibilities’ places for pasture or hay on the whole 190 acres.

Thank YOU! Dawson for being an inspiration for the next generation Farmer/Rancher helping get the ball rolling on the fields which allows grass to see enough sunlight to start thriving and producing feed (pasture/hay) to be used as feed for protein sources.

Thank you Anonymous Volunteers for helping  remove  tons  of asphalt and trash as well as many hours of chain saw work to remove the large pines and thistle trees from the  middle of the future pasture and hayfields

New Hope Pilot Project is Hoping to Open Fall of 2023 in East Texas. We will be working on 90 Acres Raw Land to Build Expand Our Veterans' Working Ranch & Farm to Fork Equine Facilitated Mental Health Programs

‘New Hope is Blessed to have the opportunity to do a pilot program,                        also known as a trial run, in east Texas, on some Veteran Owned Land, for the volunteer operated Veterans’ Working Ranch & Farm to Fork, Equine Facilitated Mental Health Programs for those in need, in East Texas. This is a grass roots community project, it can only be as good as the community effort put into it. This is a network of neighbors helping neighbors to bring New Hope to those in need by those who have some time or resources to offer coming together for a common goal.

We have a 5 year lease to see if  we can bring the community together in participation on a 90 acres parcel of raw ground to clear and turn into producing ground from a blank template of desert red dirt road and weeds. This is the perfect blank template to create a productive working ranch and farm escape for the veterans in the community. A Place for small groups of young ranching and farming candidates to come learn with in the mentoring programs where their food comes from, those youth without livestock have an opportunity to learn and compete if they chose and so much more.  Leased  to our non profit  501c3 for the purpose of restoring the land, while offering multiple curriculums to educate about how to grow and raise your own food. Hands on experience, that a device (cell phone or compute)                                         can not offer you.

Hands in the dirt, and sweet on the brow are part of the therapeutic process of restoring the land and is the best form of hands on education while learning a trade starting with running lines for water and power, Sod Busting the dirt for crops, Clearing the fields of trees etc. Driving posts and stretching the fence to secure the livestock, building shelters, clearing pastures and trails for horse back riding, learning to ride and passing your wrangler training to be able to compete or trail ride and so much more!  There will be member based program in the future, However we believe  those who put in the work, have a say in who shares in the yield, of the harvests and those hard working volunteers get to enjoy the spoils of the down time, The times where you bring your guitar, cook out on the fire, have some smores and maybe fit in a night ride!

Offering Credit for Community Service Hours, Accepting internship applications, If you, your family or business can help on this mission please contact UnitedAnimalIndustries@Gmial.com                                                          Subject Line “New Hope Project”
